A Legacy of Innovation: Passing the $2.5 Million Milestone

First introduced to the Parkland staff at the start of the 2011–12 school year, the "Celebrate Innovation" grant program has grown into a powerful engine for academic excellence, awarding more than $2.5 million in total grants to date.

Every single year, any Parkland staff member can apply for a grant to bring an innovative concept to life in their classroom or building.

How Grants are Selected

To ensure the highest standard of financial stewardship and maximum benefit for our schools, every single application goes through a rigorous, multi-tiered review process:

  1. The Superintendent’s Cabinet scores the applications based on need.

  2. The Curriculum & Instruction Department evaluates them to ensure a perfect fit with district educational standards.

  3. A Committee of Foundation Volunteers reviews the final submissions to maximize the potential impact on students and the broader Parkland community.

Support Future Innovation: These grants are funded entirely by the generosity of our local business partners, alumni, and community donors. Click here to donate and help us fund next year's classroom breakthroughs.
