Sound Shell Project
New! Sound Shell Campaign
In November 2025, the Parkland Education Foundation committed to help bring a long-time dream to life: portable stage sound shells for the Parkland High School auditorium! These specialized panels enhance stage acoustics so every note, line, and song reaches the audience with crystal-clear power.
With your support, our K-12 band, choir, orchestra, and theater students can have their talent and hard work truly shine. This has been a goal of the Arts Department for years, and we’re thrilled to make it a reality—join us in making the sound unforgettable!

When our students practice in the orchestra or the choir or the band room, we get one sound and then we come out on the stage and we often lose that sound because there is no support from above or around the sides and it’s a little deflating for our students.

It is important to get a balanced sound off the stage. If some peoplecan’t be heard theentire group doesn’t sound as good. - Jason Lerew, PHS Band Director
As a flute player I sit towards thefront. You can’t hear thelow brass.Asoundshell would help me hear all the parts. That will help us to play better together and sound better overall. - Natalie,Flute
