Accessing Files From a Personal Device
Occasionally, students may be assigned work that requires them to access files from a personal device. For example, a common beginning of the year "All About Me" presentation may ask the student to add in some old family photos. Parkland does not allow emailing or Google Drive sharing between student accounts and outside email/Google Drive accounts for your child's protection. But that doesn't mean this project would be difficult to complete.
Here are two good ways to access those personal files.
1. The student can sign into Google Drive from the personal device with the photos to upload them.
2. Students can copy photos on to a USB stick. Student Chromebooks can then access them from the My Files app.
