Parkland Education Foundation
Welcome to the Parkland Education Foundation!
Graduation Lawn Signs
Thank you to all of our volunteers for helping us deliver 800 graduation lawn signs to seniors this year!
Parkland's Funniest Home Videos II Contest
The show will premiere on May 20th on www.YouTube.com/ParklandTV.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Parkland School District Education Foundation has been focusing efforts to raise money to support a special "COVID-19 Emergency Fund" to support Parkland staff in their efforts to deliver digital learning to students in our district via "Emergency Grants."
The first program funded nearly 400 computer headsets in April 2020 for teachers to ensure clear communication with students during distance learning.
The Foundation printed and delivered personalized senior graduation lawn signs in conjunction with Parkland High School staff to help bring cheer to the Class of 2020 and their families.
The Foundation believes strongly that education and understanding are at the heart of progress. In light of that and in response to the injustice that broke America’s heart over the past few weeks as we’ve reflected on George Floyd’s death, the Parkland Education Foundation will be purchasing $2,800 worth of books that explore the history of racism in America, confronts its current state, and address how we can move forward with real change to treat all racial groups as equals. Book purchases will be made for every Parkland school and will serve to provide perspective and understanding, as appropriate, for various age groups across the School District.
The Foundation provided masks and thermometers for families in need to help them get ready for the 2020-2021 school year.
