5 THIGNS to KNOW for the week ahead

March 23, 2023

POST PROM KEEPS OUR SENIORS SAFE - The PHS Post Prom party needs YOU! This PARENT VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE is getting ready for the Class of 2023 Senior Prom and they want to make the Post Prom Party on May 13th a night to remember! Let's band together as a community and help our Senior Class have one GREAT LAST NIGHT TOGETHER! There are so many ways to help! Can you sign up to bring baked goods and drinks? Can you volunteer the night of the event (May 13th)? Or, if those choices aren't for you, can you or your business donate a raffle prize from our Amazon Wish List or make a monetary donation. The Post Prom is generously sponsored by Heintzelman Funeral Home. Thank you for your help!

SUPERINTENDENT'S #PARKLANDPRIDE PODCAST - Wondering if LCTI might be a good option for your student?  Join Dr. Mark Madson as he teams up with the Executive Director of LCTI, Dr. Lisa Greenawalt, to take a deep dive into what it's like to be an LCTI student.  Smaller class sizes, hands-on learning, and a close connection to local business are just some of the benefits of an LCTI education.  Hear from two very successful PHS/LCTI students, Peyton Knowles (studying plumbing and heating) and Lucy Slowek (studying computer and network technology), who will share their ambitious future plans.  Check out this month's episode here.  You can also listen to past episodes here.

THE SPRING EDITION of the Parkland School District Newsletter is available now! Check it out here and find information on upcoming senior citizen classes, student spotlights, new District projects, and more!

CLASS OF 2023 LAWN SIGN SALE - Graduation will be here before we know it! PHS Senior lawn signs are on sale now! Order yours here. Signs are $25 each and the deadline to order is May 8th. Sign pick up will be mid-May at PHS with more details to follow.

HEALTH SYMPOSIUM PRESENTATIONS - If you weren't able to make it to any of the 10 Parent Workshops that were offered last Saturday during the Parkland Community Resource Fair, we have posted the slide presentations here. When you have some time, check them out! It was a great day of learning and community building!
