Let's band together as a community and help our Senior Class have one GREAT LAST NIGHT TOGETHER! There are so many ways to help! Can you sign up to bring baked goods and drinks? Can you volunteer the night of the event (May 13th)? Or, if those choices aren't for you, can you or your business donate a raffle prize from our Amazon Wish List or make a monetary donation. The Post Prom is generously sponsored by Heintzelman Funeral Home. Thank you for your help!

Hear from two very successful PHS/LCTI students, Peyton Knowles (studying plumbing and heating) and Lucy Slowek (studying computer and network technology), who will share their ambitious future plans. Check out this month's episode here. You can also listen to past episodes here.

Here is a quick START OF SCHOOL update:
Bus Stop, Homeroom, Team, Schedules
Please plan to log into Home Access Center (HAC) beginning Friday, August 19, at 5 PM to view your student’s bus stop, homeroom and team assignment.
Finalized Student Schedules will be available on Friday, August 26, at 5 PM
Need help logging in? Email hac@parklandsd.org
HAC usage instructions are found here: HAC-Student-Information-Instructions
Using HAC for the first time? Click here: HAC for New Guardians
Food Service
During the last two school years, federal government subsidies made school meals free for all students. These broad-based subsidies are no longer available, so meals will have a cost this school year. If you believe your family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, you may have already been certified, or you can apply at http://www.schoolcafe.com/. On Saturday, August 20, 2022, parents can start adding money to their student accounts on MySchoolBucks, Parkland’s cashless payment system. To access your account, log in here. Meal prices and menus can be viewed here.
Birthday Bags are Back
The option to purchase birthday treats from Food Service (the only food allowed to be given to students for birthday celebrations) is back! Orders must be received at least one week prior to the delivery date. On the special day, your child’s birthday bag will be delivered directly to his/her classroom. To order, please click here.
Sneak Peek, Orientations, Open House Events
See images below for a list of sneak peeks and orientation schedules for new students as well as the Open House Schedule for all schools or view them on our web calendar.
Students Get in Free to Games
We are pleased to announce that a generous gift from the Parkland Education Foundation will allow all Parkland students with ID (and children under age 5) to be admitted to all turf and gym games for free this year (this excludes football). The Foundation is doing this to help students cheer on their fellow Trojans without cost as well as give families a break so that when parents bring siblings to games, the children get in free. Ask your students to take a picture of their student ID and save it to their phone so they always have it with them. Until ID's are handed out, this flyer will allow students to gain admittance.
Health and Safety Plan for 2022-23
The School Board approved an updated Health and Safety Plan for the upcoming school year. All plan information can be found at this link.
Schoolmessenger
Schoolmessenger is the District's rapid notification system and all calls made through the system will come from 1-866-783-1413. It may be helpful to put this number in your phone contact list so that you know that the call is coming from Parkland Schools.
