Morning Call Top Workplace 9 time winner

Parkland School District has been named a Morning Call Top Workplace for the 9th time! This distinction is especially meaningful because it is based entirely on feedback and votes from our own dedicated employees. Thank you to our incredible staff for making Parkland such a special place to learn and work!

Share your talents by teaching a Parkland Senior Citizen class

Share Your Talents with Our Senior Citizen Community - Do you have a talent, hobby, or fitness background you’d love to share? Parkland School District is exploring opportunities to offer free classes for our community’s senior citizens — and we’re seeking volunteers to teach or lead.

Some ideas include:

• Tai Chi for Beginners

• Zumba

• Ballroom Dancing

• Knitting

• Scrapbooking

• Other crafts, hobbies or fitness programs you’re passionate about!

To express interest in leading a group, please contact our Office of Communications & Community Engagement at 610-351-5628.

PHS Expansion Project getting underway

PHS Expansion Project Gets Underway next week - We are excited to announce that we are breaking ground on a PHS building expansion project, starting Monday, March 9th. Please note the following short-term impacts as construction begins:

Safety Fencing: Fencing will be installed around active construction zones. Students, staff, and guests must refrain from entering these fenced areas.

Hallway Reduction: From March 9 to 23, temporary plastic walls will reduce the size of the hallway in some areas to construct permanent walls for the future guidance, counseling, administration, and nurse suites. The hallways will be returned to their original state afterward.

Parking Lot Closure:  The parking lot adjacent to the softball field will be inaccessible during school hours to make way for construction vehicles. Please find an alternative parking spot in the main parking area on campus.

Good luck to all athletes in State Playoffs -  Wrestling is competing today with Boys and Girls Basketball playing this weekend!  The Parkland Swimming and Dive team will compete next week.
