We hope the following links may offer helpful information to residents of the Parkland School District. If you have ideas for other organizations that should be added to this list, please e-mail the Office of Community and Public Relations at mcgallan@parklandsd.org.  

Please read the school board policy on how to distribute electronic flyers to our families about recreational opportunities.   

Please submit your  electronic flyer for events and summer camps for approval using this form, Parkland School District Flyer Distribution Form, at least 2 weeks prior to when you would like to have it posted/distributed electronically.  

Flyers/Information for programs/events/activities that are not school-sponsored must include the following disclaimer, “The Parkland School District does not sponsor or sanction this program/event/activity.”

This would be a wonderful opportunity for students in clubs at the high school to volunteer. The proceeds for the race benefit children in foster care. It has a kid-friendly race and games. Teams, such as athletic or club, are encourage to sign up for the race and run together. Thank you!

MCDC's back!

We’re excited to announce the return of our full range of class offerings for the 2022-2023 school year! Classes are offered in a full range of styles and levels, for ages 3+, from Creative Movement to teen and adult classes!

As part of enrollment in Spring MCDC classes, all students are invited to participate in the Spring Showcase PerformanceThe Joy of Dance! Stay tuned for more details about this exciting showcase of everything we’ll learn this year! Performances will be held Friday, May 5 at 7 PM and Saturday, May 6 at 1 PM (dates and times are tentative).

     Ballet II (ages 10+) — Tue 6:15-7:15 pm

     Jazz/Modern I (ages 7+) — Tue 5:15-6:15 pm

  Beginning Ballet for Adults & Teens
   w/ Lisa Busfield (session 1), Kimberly Maniscalo (session 2)
(ages 13 thru adult)
     Session 1: Feb. 1 – March 8 
     Session 2: March 22 – May 3 (no class April 5)
     Wednesdays, 7:15-8:30 pm

   This fun, relaxed ballet class is designed for teen and adult dancers just starting out, as well as students returning to ballet after many years. The instructor will adapt the curriculum to meet you at your own experience level.

  Adult/Teen Tap — Beginner
   w/ Robyn Watson

     Tuesdays, 5:30–6:30 pm

   This fun, welcoming class is for beginners and advanced beginners. We will focus on the basic tap technique, understanding musicality, and exploring the improvisation and history of this amazing art form.

  Adult/Teen Tap — Intermediate/Advanced
   w/ Robyn Watson

     Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 pm

   This class is for the dancer who has a good working knowledge of tap technique. Emphasis will be exploring that technique, musicality, history and improvisation.
