What are the Trojan Tech Teams?
The elementary Trojan Tech Teams consist of 4th and 5th grade students selected to participate in the program based upon their interest in technology as well as their ability to communicate with others and their desire to share knowledge. Each of our elementary schools has a team of 3 – 5 students along with a team advisor and the building technology para-professional. The Elementary Trojan Tech Teams meet 5 times during the school year to explore new and emerging educational technology tools. During each session students investigate the operation of the new technology tool and apply their knowledge by using the tool to create an authentic project – something to be used by classmates or teachers. Visit this page often to see the latest work of the Elementary Trojan Tech Teams and watch the teams grow from Learners to Leaders!!!
October 2015 Meeting:
Our Mantra: Figure It Out!
At each meeting of the Trojan Tech Teams students are introduced to a new technology. The task – to investigate, explore and determine both the “how-to” of using the tool, and how to apply the tool. Trojan Tech Team members learn to solve problems by finding answers on their own and by working as part of a team. We will Figure It Out!
