Dear Parents of Title I Students,
Welcome to the Title I Program!
100% Parent Participation is our goal for our Title I Program. Please get involved with your child’s education by attending workshops, visitation, conferences and schoolwide activities.
We are eager to provide assistance to our Parkland parents in learning how to help your child learn.
Please participate in the spring’s PARENT SURVEY. Results from this survey provide us with the necessary feedback that enables us to make future improvements to our program. Results will be shared with our Parent Advisory Council, Reading Specialists and Principals. We will likewise share the results with our Parents during the October Parent Orientation and in the Fall.
All eight of our elementary schools currently receive Title I Funding and run the same program to help students in Reading and/or Math in grades K-2. This school year we received a waiver to qualify Jaindl Elementary, Cetronia, Parkway Manor and Kernsville so they can continue to receive Title funding. Kratzer is now a schoolwide program and all children qualify for Title I services.
During the 2016-17 school year, we began the application process to apply for schoolwide status for all elementary schools, except Kratzer’s elementary because it already is . Schoolwide status will enable the other buildings to have the same flexibility as Kratzer does in helping all children in the building to become better students. If you would like to be part of this process, please contact Marge Evans @610-351-5547.
Please read to your child every day!
Check out this video from our K-2 Go Math Workshop.
It contains highlights from our winter workshop. Parents, students and staff all had a great time learning new things.
Check out Parent Workshop ideas under the Parent Resource Tab for the many resources we’ve shared over the years. There are soooo many great ideas from which to chose.
We hope to see you at the next event:)
Thanks for reading with your child everyday!
