About Me

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Lindsay Brockel.  I grew up in Warminster, Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor’s of Arts in Early Childhood/Elementary Education at Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) in Glenside, Pennsylvania.  Six years ago, I graduated with my master’s degree in Classroom Technology through Wilkes University, and two years ago I completed 60 credits towards furthering my education.  This will be my twelfth year teaching in the Parkland School District.  I have had the great opportunity to teach two years of first grade several years ago at Kratzer Elementary School and all the rest in kindergarten both at Kratzer and Cetronia.  I am very excited to be teaching first grade!    We will be learning from a language arts curriculum called Lead21, using an interactive whiteboard in our classroom, and taking part in a school wide positive behavior program all which were newly implemented last year.

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, doing arts and crafts, home decorating, going for walks, and spending time with my family.  This summer was very exciting for me! I got married to my wonderful husband named Kevin, who is the program supervisor for a community-based mental health program.  We also got a new puppy named Zoey, who has kept us very busy the last several weeks.

My mom and I are extremely close and our relationship has continued to strengthen ever since my dad passed away in 2008.   I am the youngest of three children.  My oldest sister, Kim, lives in Mississippi, with her husband and two children.  My niece, Samantha, just entered 3rd grade and my nephew, Jack , will be 4 years old in December.  My other sister, Robin, lives in Delaware with her husband.  They have a 6 year old daughter, Devon, and  a 22 month old baby boy name Reed.  Fortunately, Delaware isn’t too far away and I’m able to spend lots of time with my one sister, niece, and nephew.  We also get to do some tax free shopping!
