Homework will be assigned a couple times a week; however, it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete (
Homework may or may not be checked. If checked, incomplete homework will result in a zero. If you are absent the day the assignment is checked, you will be excused from the assignment. Thus points will not be awarded nor deducted for the assignment.
Your homework assignment will be on the board under the heading la tarea. It is your responsibility to copy it into your agenda book before you leave class.
Tests and Quizzes:
Tests will be given at the end of each lesson/unit (usually every 5-10 school days). Quizzes will be given more frequently and returned in a timely fashion for feedback. Keep all paperwork until the end of the rotation.
Tests and quizzes will be announced in advance. If you are present when the test/quiz is announced, you will be expected to take the assessment with the class. There are exceptions due to an excessive number of missed days.
Students are expected to keep a 3-ring binder/notebook that is just for Spanish. The binder/notebook should hold dividers, and notebook paper. Students must also bring something to write with to class.
Upon entering the classroom, the student is expected to work immediately on the warmup assignment which will be listed on the board. This daily assignment is to be written on the warmup sheet given to you by Señor Reaman. The date, assignment and answer are to be written neatly. Warmup sheets are collected each marking period and are a given as a classwork grade.
It is vital to be in class everyday. Before class starts, pick up any missed handouts and make arrangements to make up missed assessments. The person to see for a missed handout is your partner. If the partner doesn’t have the worksheet you will raise your hand and ask for one from Señor Reaman.
