Students revisited the skills they learned while making apple dumplings in the Art Expressions class in the Fall. This prepared them to work with Indian Red Clay.
Some students rolled the clay into slabs, while others used pinching techniques to create small spheres and coiling techniques to make “snake shapes”. Many of the students decided to take their individual textures and creative forms and put them together to make a collaborate piece for one of their most amazing and inspiring teachers: Miss Mittl! Thank You to all who participated and Mr. Joella for documenting this fun event with his photo machine!
Check back soon to see the final works art!!
The first picture shows Anna Michael, Miss Shaffer, Ms. Robbins, Miss Bauer, Michael, Mrs. Butz ( on her Birthday!) and Mireyah as they are rolling their first little clay spheres.
