Hello. I am Mrs. Susan Hartman and I am the ESL teacher for students in grades 10 and 12 at the high school. I have been teaching in the Parkland School District for 12 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. I continued my education at DeSales University where I earned an MEd in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). My daughters Hannah and Emily are graduates of Parkland High School and both are living in Pittsburgh where they are attending school. My son, Hunter, is a senior at L.V. Charter High School for the Arts and my youngest daughter, Meredith, is a freshman at PHS. I love spending time with my family, reading, and playing games. I am lucky to work with interesting, hard working, and dedicated students.
Hello! I am Joan Junge and I have been teaching in the Parkland School District for more than eight years. Prior to that I taught high school English in New York State and South Carolina. I have a B. A. in English, an M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and an ESL specialist certificate. I am married and have two daughters, Emily and Annie. I love my job but I also I enjoy reading, cooking, walking and watching cycling races. Although I am the teacher, my students teach me many new and interesting things about the English language every day!

I am Mrs. Lee Skinker and I am a teacher’s aide for ESL students at Parkland High School. I have been working in the Parkland School District for about 6 years. My husband and I are graduates of Virginia Tech University where 3 of my 5 children are currently attending. My daughter Julian and her husband live in Colorado and my daughter Liz and her husband live in Kansas. I live a full and busy life which includes cooking, baking, and other crafts. My job is very interesting because I am able to go into different classrooms while I support students who are learning the English language.
