Pictured above is USA Architect Paul Swartz, and students Colleen Korp, Kelly McMahon, Nicholas Dyszel, Greg Coni, and technology education/architecture teacher Jim Kester, who proudly stand with their first place award-winning entry in the 2010 Pennsylvania School Boards Association School Construction & Design competition. As part of this state-wide competition, students worked after school to solve a real-life school construction problem and to design an elementary school. Architect Paul Swartz lended a hand when the students needed advice on the design of their submission and Mr. Kester served as the team’s advisor. The Parkland team of Jordan Keller, Jesse Smith, Anikken Busack, and Sydney Hibshman took 3rd place.
