Speech

Mrs. Lisa Barrow services the students of Kratzer School. Students who demonstrate a need for specific instruction in communication skills are identified through a process that begins with an informal screening referral. This referral may be made by a parent, teacher, or the Instructional Support Team. If further testing is warranted, a letter asking permission to do a formal speech/language evaluation is sent home. Parents are invited to meet and discuss the results of the evaluation, as well as to plan the necessary interventions.

Students who qualify for speech/language therapy typically attend one thirty minute session per cycle, although this varies based on the students’ needs.
