The Parkland School District Education Foundation Board of Directors appointed Kate (Johnson) Kareha as Executive Director this month. Kate is a 2003 graduate of the Parkland School District who then studied Journalism/Multi-Media Arts and Public Relations & Advertising at Duquesne University.
Kate has a passion and enthusiasm for the district and this community. She recently moved back to the area after spending much of her career in Philadelphia where she served as a Programs & Events Manager for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and a Special Events Manager in the University of the Arts Development Office.
Buddy Lesavoy, President of the Parkland Education Foundation stated, “Kate’s background, skills and overall personality will complement the Parkland Foundation very well. She is extremely knowledgeable and possesses strong communication skills. We look forward to her leadership.”
