At a Family Fitness Night organized by the school’s PTO, Jaindl families enjoyed a myriad of activities that included exercise and the tasting of wholesome snacks. Students above are participating in Step Aerobics on the floor and Martial Arts on the stage. Parents and community organizations volunteered to set up and man 11 stations designed to teach children and their families about health and wellness. In addition to the ones notes above, stations included an obstacle course, Wii – Just Dance activity, a craft focused on striving to eat 5 fruits and vegetables daily, core training, basketball, bottle bowling, and a balance and flexibility area. Finally, students had the opportunity to try their own hands at making healthy and colorful snacks that included trail mix and fruit kabobs.
