As a culminating activity in the sixth year of the Parkland School District Education Foundation’s existence, the Foundation Board of Directors awarded 47 “Celebrate Innovation” grants totaling $104,381 to Parkland School District with the intent of enriching the current curriculum to benefit a wide range of students, staff and community members. In total, 15 awards were given to the eight Elementary schools, 13 went to the two Middle Schools and 12 were awarded to Parkland High School. Additionally, seven grants will serve the District at large. With the addition of these grants, the Foundation has given over $741,060 back to the District since its inception in 2011.

The Parkland School District Education Foundation Board of Directors is proud to announce the establishment of an Endowment Fund created in early 2017. The fund was started with an initial investment of $80,000 generated gradually by reserved funds over the first five years. The Endowment is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding that will continue to allow the Foundation to support many great academic, art and athletics programs in perpetuity.
