5th Grade Band
There will be after-school rehearsal on Monday April 2nd in the Jaindl gym from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Please be sure to bring your instrument, concert music, a pencil and your folding music stand. Please remember that if you are picking your child up after the rehearsal to please submit a note to Miss Fella prior to the start of the band rehearsal.
Upcoming after-school rehearsal dates: April 2, April 16, and April 23. The 5th grade band concert will be held on Wednesday May 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Parkland High School Auditorium.

March 12- After school band
5th Grade Band will begin on Monday March 12th, in the Jaindl Gym until 5:00 P.M. and will also be on 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/16, and 4/23).
Fogelsville students will be getting a shuttle bus to transport them to Jaindl Elementary School. The bus will be arriving at Fogelsville at 3:25/3:30. Transportation will be provided for students after practice.

Read-A-Thon Update: The students at Fogelsville are so excited that they have exceeded their combined school reading goal of 189,000 minutes of our Reading Rocks Read-A-Thon! We are so proud of them for doing an amazing job. Please remember to send in all tally slips, pledges and donations for the Read-A-Thon.
It is a very tight race amongst classes for both fundraising and reading! The class with the highest fundraising total will get to pick Ms. DeRenzo’s hair color for the upcoming PSSA Idol Assembly and the class with the highest minutes read will get to use our new Kindles first!
Congratulations Fogelsville for collecting 450 canned goods that were donated to Second Harvest Food Bank! Way to GO!
Reminders: Thursday March 8th is Chick-fil-A night!

Read-a-thon Update: Our students have already read more than 163,000 minutes during the first two weeks of our 2nd annual Reading Rocks Read-A-Thon! What an amazing job they are doing! We are well on our way to reaching our school goal of 189,000 minutes read.
Reminders:

Tally slips are to be returned to school each Friday. Please be sure first and last name as well as the teacher’s name is on the tally slip.

All pledges and donations are due by Friday, March 2 to qualify for awards and drawings. Please support our school!

Read-a-thon update: Due to the Holiday, Read-A-thon tally slips should be returned to school on Tue., Feb. 21st. We are very proud of all our students who read during the first week of our Read-A-Thon. More than 58,000 minutes were read last week!
