Professional Development

—”Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.” — John Cotton Dana

Professional development is critically important to the successful integration of any technology program. Based on needs assessment results, workshops are offered throughout the year as part of the Parkland Professional Development Academy to teachers and administrators. The 2014 Summer Technology Academy Workshops provided more than 70 sessions on such topics as:

  • Blended Learning strategies and techniques
  • Using Google Chromebooks in the Classroom
  • Data-driven instruction in the 21st century classroom
  • Helping struggling learners in all subject areas through assistive technologies
