What is the Microsoft IT Academy?
The Microsoft IT Academy helps students achieve a greater mastery of productivity and technical skills that are validated through certifications. Starting in the Fall of 2014, the Parkland High School is offering an elective course, Microsoft IT Certification (624), to students who may be interested in pursuing a career in computer science. This elective course will provide students access to a full library of Microsoft online training programs that enable students to receive personalized instruction towards completion of several industry-recognized certifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Certified Technical Engineer (MCTE). Students will work at their own pace through the online coursework in a computer lab setting. Below is a complete list of the certification tracks available through the program:
- MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist)
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
- MTA (Microsoft Technical Associate)
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
