On Tuesday, June 28, 2011, the Board of School Directors announced the appointment of Ms. Brenda DeRenzo as Principal of Parkland’s Fogelsville Elementary School. Ms. DeRenzo served as the Interim Principal at Fogelsville Elementary School for the past year.
Ms. DeRenzo is looking forward with excitement to serving the Fogelsville community as Principal. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. She also holds a Master’s Degree from Bloomsburg University in Speech and Language Pathology. Brenda completed her principal internship within the Pottstown School District in 2004 and received her principal certificate by completing her program at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Fogelsville as the interim principal last September, Brenda held the position of Elementary Special Education Coordinator where she served Parkland since 2006. Previous to her work in Parkland, she served as a Speech and Language Therapist in the Pottstown School District for 16 years.
Louise Donohue, Superintendent of Schools remarked, “Ms. DeRenzo is a strong leader who possesses highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. Her strong leadership skills coupled with her special education background and her natural ability to strive for excellence in all she does will make her a wonderful asset to the Fogelsville community.”
