Congratulations to the 16 PHS Music Students Heading for States

Sixteen PHS students are at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association State Chorus, Band and Orchestra festival this week.  This tremendous number of students who were selected through various auditions to be part of the prestigious state ensembles is the largest number that Parkland has ever sent to the state festival.  While there, students will have the opportunity to compete for a spot in an Eastern United States chorus, orchestra or band.

In the back row are band members: Reno Kriz and Ellen Choi, orchestra members: Rachael Hendricks, Anlin Wang, Alina Spiegel, and Matthew Stein, and chorus members: Meg Stefanowicz, Julia Gyory, and Kiri Tamte-Horan.  In the front row are chorus members: Andrew Kurtz, Ryan McCarty, Josh Rice, Curtis Rabe, Gregory Habiak, Nicholas Roehler, and Morgan Reilly.

Their teachers are band director, Jason Lerew, orchestra director, Karen Creeden, and choral teacher Frank Anonia.
