Parkland Reaps $600,000 in Savings

On January 1, 2010, the Parkland School District will begin a new agreement with PPL EnergyPlus to supply its electricity for the next year. The agreement will save Parkland School District approximately $600,000 in energy costs during the 12 month period beginning on January 1, 2010.
The school board approved an agreement with PPL EnergyPlus at a price tag far lower than it would have paid had it not chosen an alternative supplier when the state-imposed electricity rate caps expire on January 1st and prices will increase by approximately 30 percent. Read more

Cetronia Art Show

The students at Cetronia Elementary School held a schoolwide art show during parent-teacher conference week in November. Parents and visitors to the building during that time got to view art from every grade along with descriptions of the art lessons and artwork that adorned the walls. Art teachers Susan Hardy and Kaye Coval organized the beautiful displays.
